My Sister Tita

To many of you who do not know my family, I would like to say, unfortunate for you never having met my sister Tita, or Patricia, or Raquel her favorite first name (yes, we do have 2 first names, guess which mine is?). She is gorgeous and a beautiful person. She has two young kids, Carolina and Kiko (Frederico), who are as adorable or even more. They have been living in Maputo (Mozambique) since 2004, where her man (Joao, the surfer) is now working with his dad. That was the year I came to the United States to start my PhD. 2004 was a year of immense changes in my family and it seems that we all parted to distant corners of the earth. Thanks to the internet and all the technologies that use it, as is the case of the most messengers, and voice messengers, and emails, I am now able to talk with her and see my niece and nephew grow up, even if they are in the eastern tip of Africa! Life there seems to be pretty sweet and they create some opportunities during their weekends to explore the natural beauty of Mozambique and often go to South Africa.
